One of the key priorities for Northeast Wisconsin and the 8th Congressional District Executive Board in 2025 is to find ways to engage underrepresented voices across our district, to make sure more voices are heard across Northeast Wisconsin — especially from people and communities who too often feel left out of politics.
To make inroads on this priority, we are establishing a new subcommittee under the 8th Executive Board that together will help us make this a reality - not just to win elections in 2026, but to build our community in non-election years, and year-round.
This is about whether black and brown residents, rural residents, immigrants, working families, young people, tribal members, LGBTQ+ neighbors, or anyone who feels overlooked — have a place at the table. It’s about making sure every community across our counties has the chance to be represented, to share their priorities, and to help shape the future of our district.
Who we’re looking for:
People from all walks of life across our district who want to help strengthen their communities.
Young voices eager to make a difference.
Folks ready to meet once a month, and to start by attending a short mini-retreat (date TBD).
Anyone willing to commit through the 2026 election cycle.
You do not need to be a member of the Democratic Party to participate.
If you’d like to be part of this work, please sign up below.
Not able to join yourself? Please consider sharing this with a friend, neighbor, or colleague who would be a great fit.
Together, we can make sure every community across Brown, Calumet, Door, Kewaunee, Marinette, Menominee, Oconto, Outagamie, Shawano, Waupaca, and Winnebago counties has a voice in shaping our future.
In Solidarity,
Julie Hancock, Chair 8th CD Dems
Join the Committee
To truly become the party of choice for all people—across socio-economic, racial, ethnic, tribal, and LGBTQ+ communities, the 8th CD is launching a new committee to reach, engage, and empower underrepresented voices across Northeast Wisconsin.
We need your help. Typically, polling does not extensively cover the people of Wisconsin’s 8th Congressional District. We are on a mission to capture insights from the people that make up our district, who live and work in Marinette, Oconto, Shawano, Menominee, Door, Kewaunee, Brown, Calumet, Outagamie, Waupaca, and Winnebago counties. What is important to Northeast Wisconsin?
Please take a few minutes to respond, and then share with your people using the “share” options at the end of the survey.

Let’s show Tony Wied that silence and inaction have a price. Chip in to help us hold our Congressman accountable every day between now and election day 2026.

“The face of someone who just realized their handlers weren’t kidding about ‘getting your hands dirty’ in rural America”

Donations to the Democratic Party of Wisconsin do not fund our work across the 8th Congressional District. We receive minimal support because we are not considered a "targeted" Congressional District. This is why it is so important for us to raise funds locally to support our critical work.
